In the field of history, resources such as documents, and unpublished manuscripts have been digitized and made available for study on the internet. This improved accessibility presents scholars with more opportunities for research than they previously had. This new medium for research can be important for furthering scholarship in other ways as well. Through the internet, scholars can communicate with one another about their research much faster than previous methods.
